Rachael Seda specializes in developing creative, strategic and integrated communications and marketing campaigns that are measurable and result-driven. She has a passion for digital strategy, and was named to Top Rank’s 25 Women Who Rock Social Media in 2013. She was also a featured guest on PR Newswire’s #ConnectChat on Twitter, which featured her on a billboard in Times Square.
Rachael is focused on the consumer sector, and recently worked with the Hass Avocado Board to secure news coverage on the health benefits of eating avocado, and why guacamole is the perfect snack for Super Bowl parties. Rachael also focuses on partnerships, securing and negotiating cross-promotional efforts that connect her clients with nonprofit partners, such as Children’s Hospital of Richmond, and media partners, such as the Huffington Post.
She has worked with clients to launch social media strategies, including UN Refugee Agency’s Blue Key Campaign, Partnership for Drugfree.org, American Society of Appraisers and Monarch Mortgage, just to name a few.
April Sciacchitano, Co-founder and Partner
April Sciacchitano specializes in developing creative PR campaigns from concept through implementation. She has developed local media relations strategies for her clients, securing media coverage in the Virginian-Pilot, Inside Business, Daily Press and Suffolk News Herald. For her national clients, she has worked with USA Today and New York Times, and helped her clients bring home the PRSA Big Apple and Measure of Excellence awards for media relations in 2014.
April manages every aspect of event planning for her clients. She coordinates online and in-person press events, plans conferences, and runs exhibits. For example, for her client American Physical Therapy Association, April coordinated an event and exhibit for the Marine Corps Marathon expo. By bringing together AARP, a local chain of running stores and an Olympic athlete, she helped the client make the most of their sponsorship dollars.
April is president of the Virginia Society of Healthcare Marketing and past-chair of the PRSA professional development committee for PRSA Hampton Roads.
Lisa Gerber, Strategic Partner
Lisa Gerber helps brands get discovered, tell a better story and get the story heard. With 20 years experience, she has worked in a variety of industries from urban development, resort development, hospitality, B2B, energy, and aerospace and defense.
Based in the mountains of Sandpoint, Idaho, Lisa works with clients around the world thanks to the beauty of technology. Lisa was part of the executive team at Arment Dietrich in Chicago, where she was the chief content officer for the blog Spin Sucks and led digital and content strategy for the agency’s clients.
Today, she blogs here, and speaks frequently at conferences across the U.S. on the topic of storytelling for business. When she’s not in the office she might be out trail running or nordic skiing with her husband and black lab, Pepper. It’s where she does most of her creative problem-solving.

Ligaya Malones focuses on integrated marketing communications experience collaborating with healthy lifestyle organizations at several nationally-known PR firms. She has created and executed consumer-facing media relations, social media and brand positioning campaigns for the Hass Avocado Board (HAB), Viviscal nutritional hair supplements and ZeroWater, just to name a few. Media placements include coverage of HAB’s nutrition studies in Health and Women’s Health magazine, coverage highlighting Viviscal’s effectiveness in Pregnancy & Newborn magazine and a major trade magazine feature story detailing ZeroWater as a major player in water filter innovation. In addition, Ligaya has worked closely with spokesperson and celebrity fitness trainer Harley Pasternak to facilitate live Twitter chats and media appearances on behalf of HAB’s marketing platform, Love One Today. She has also managed blogger and influencer outreach programs on behalf of a variety of clients.
Ifdy Perez is a social media and content strategist who has worked primarily with health care nonprofits and tech startups. She manages social platforms, creates content, increases blog traffic, connects with online influencers – and ultimately grows communities that thrive. In a fundraising campaign, Ifdy’s efforts raised $405,000 in just 24 hours.
Previously Ifdy was the community manager at AddThis and before that Razoo .
Ifdy is also founder of the Northern Virginia Tech Women meet-up, which will resume this fall.
Hannah Seda, PR + Marketing Associate
Hannah Seda is a natural storyteller, with a knack for crafting a story whether it be in written words or her favorite medium – audio. She supports key clients with content development, media outreach and campaign execution. Previously, she was the social media manager for Picasso Salon.
Hannah is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she focused on documentary and radio production.
